4/8/04--I'm getting ready to go to the
NECRWA conference
this weekend. I'm polishing up (ahem, writing) the workshop I'm giving
with my pal Caroline Linden.
I hope I'll see some of you at the book signing! But before I head
off, I wanted to share some good news--The Naked Gentleman was selected as a
Blue Ribbon Favorite of the month at Romance Junkies! You can link to
the review from my review page, but here's the cool graphic they sent me!

4/1/08--Happy April Fool's Day! Today is The Naked Gentleman's
official release date, but he snuck out just about everywhere a week or two
ago. I was just up in New York City for the Novelists, Inc. conference
and I visited the Gent in both Barnes & Noble and in Borders. Some
Barnes & Nobles have taken displays that include all four books, so if
you've been searching for a Naked Duke, you may be in luck! I'll be
traveling quite a bit in April--check my
Happenings page for my scheduled
appearances--so perhaps our paths will cross. I'll try to post
pictures--I always bring my camera, but I don't always remember to use it!
I did just post a few new
pictures as well
as links to a few
reviews.
3/3/08--Can you believe it's less than a month until The Naked Gentleman is
on bookstore shelves? My editor tells me some bookstores may have
free-standing displays of all the Naked books, so keep your eyes peeled for
that. Reviews are starting to come in--I'm adding them to my
review page.
If you'd like to see me in the Romantic Times Author Spotlight, go
here.
I'm hard at work on a new Naked story--The Naked Laird. It's a novella
and will be appearing in February 2009. My
newsletter has
all the details that I know at the moment. And it looks like The Naked
Baron will be taking his bow in spring 2009.
2/4/08--Whew. I sent The Naked Baron off to my editor about a week
ago...only a little bit late. I wanted to get it off my desk before
the dear husband and I flew up to Boston to watch one college student's
fencing tournament and take the other college student--who'd been in Maine
at a swim meet during the fencing-- out to dinner. (The kid was
walking around Boston--cold, snowy Boston--in slippers?! Mom
moment...deep breath.) Now I'm reading the books I got to judge in the
RITA contest--RWA's
published authors' contest--before getting back to work, this time on the
Naked novella due in June. (More info on that as I get it.) I'll
try to tidy up this site, too, so please take a few minutes to poke around,
especially on my
Happenings page where I've added some 2008 appearances.
1/6/08--Happy new year! The first draft of The Naked Baron is done and
I'm busy revising and polishing it to send it off to my editor by Jan. 15.
But I'm poking my nose out of my writerly cave for just a minute to tell you
that I'm going to be at a group book signing in the Washington, D.C. area on
Feb. 10! Check out my
happenings page
for the details.
12/9/07--No, I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. I have my
nose to the grindstone, trying to get The Naked Baron done for a January 15
deadline. It's possible, but it will be a bit touch and go. Once
I get that book out the door, I promise to do a bit of housecleaning here.
(You should see my REAL house...um, no, maybe you shouldn't.) A couple
bits of news--a friend found the Russian Duke for me--check out the cover on
my new Around the
World page. (If anyone sees the Norwegian Marquis, please let me
know.) And I've agreed to do a Naked novella in an anthology scheduled
for 2009, maybe around the time the Baron will be taking his bow. More
on that later. For now, happy holidays, all...and back to the grindstone for
me!
9/23/07--I just did a fun interview with BookThink about romance and the
Naked Nobility--you can find it
here.
